Bedfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group and Partners at Putnoe Medical Centre have this week signed a new two year contract to continue to deliver walk-in services north of the river in Bedford.
From 1 October 2018, the walk-in service will be open 8am – 2pm Monday – Friday and from 8am – 5pm on Saturday and Sunday and 8am-5pm on Bank Holidays.
The walk-in service is open to all NHS patients who need to access a same day GP or nurse appointment.
Alan Streets, Accountable Officer of Bedfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group said:
“We are delighted to be able to announce we have signed a new two year contract with Putnoe Medical Centre which means that walk-in services will continue to be delivered at Putnoe.”
“The provision of services from Putnoe in addition to new ‘Extended Access’ Primary Care appointments and the new Urgent Treatment Centre on the Bedford Hospital site will ensure patients in Bedfordshire have improved access to healthcare at a time that is convenient to them.”
