Bedfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group (BCCG), the new organisation set to take over commissioning responsibilities from NHS Bedfordshire in 2013, has announced the appointment of its new Chair Designate, as it continues to complete the line-up of its board.
Brian Rolfe has extensive experience in supply chain management for large international companies and brings a keen understanding of demand management, procurement and customer service.
Brian also has NHS experience, having been a Non-Executive Director with NHS Bedfordshire since October 2008 and the NHS Bedfordshire and Luton Cluster since 2011.
Dr Paul Hassan, who was last week appointed as Chief Clinical Officer Designate for BCCG, said: “I am delighted that Brian will be joining the Bedfordshire CCG Board and extend a warm welcome to him.
“Brian brings a wealth of experience in Non-Executive NHS roles as well as business acumen outside of the public sector and I look forward to working with him in the future.”
Bedfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group (BCCG) is a new organisation, run and led by GPs and other local clinicians, that has been created to take over responsibility for commissioning healthcare from NHS Bedfordshire primary care trust in 2013.
