Anyone interested in finding out more can come along to a membership event at Kings House, Ampthill Road in Bedford on Monday 8 December at 6-7.30pm.
Alison Borrett, BCCG Governing Body Member for Patient and Public Involvement said: “Our public members do a hugely valuable job in helping us design and purchase services to meet local needs. They help us consult local people about any changes we make, and they play a crucial role in helping us get the right health messages out in the community.”
Anyone attending next Monday’s membership event can find out more about the work BCCG does to plan, design and buy local healthcare. They will find out what it means to be a public member and will be able to speak to other members about how they have been involved in some of our projects this year. These have included a major project to buy new mental health services and the Bedfordshire and Milton Keynes Healthcare Review.
The evening will also include mince pies, non-alcoholic mulled wine and a fun quiz. To register, ring 01525 864430.
