Roland Ginn has been appointed as lay member for finance on Bedfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group’s (BCCG) Governing Body. He takes over from David Coombs who was co-opted to the role for six months in January.
Originally intended to be a temporary post, the Governing Body felt that this role now needed to become a more permanent fixture of BCCG’s governance and Roland Ginn has been appointed for three years.
Mr Ginn said: “I am really looking forward to working with BCCG. I have several years of experience working at a senior level in both public and private sector and I believe that this will be of considerable benefit to the CCG as it undertakes its journey of financial transformation.”
With a strong track record at executive level, and as a non-executive director, Roland has led change programmes in complex organisations. As finance director of Jobcentre Plus, he launched a programme of rigorous financial forecasting and governance. He led a team of 500 people which won the Civil Service Team of the Year award and achieved a 20% efficiency improvement.
