Bedfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group (BCCG) hasappointed a new lay member to its governing body. Saqhib Ali has been appointedas lay member for governance and audit.
Saqhib Ali, who grew up in Bedfordshire, studied as amedical student before training as an auditor with Touche Ross. Mr Ali hasworked in the finance sector for more than 20 years. He currently works as thehead of customer solutions for Lloyds Community Bank, and has more than 18years’ experience in the finance and accounting sector in audit and commercialmanagement roles.
Mr Ali said: “I am really looking forward to working withBCCG. I have several years’ experience working at a senior level in thefinancial sector and I believe, with this in mind, that I will be valuable tothe CCG as it undertakes its journey to strengthen its financial position inthe years ahead.”
