Update on Non-Emergency Patient Transport Services

03 October 2017

Since last Friday, Clinical Commissioning Groups in Bedfordshire, Luton and Hertfordshire have been working hard to transfer patient transport services over to East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust, who is the new caretaker provider.

We are prioritising patients who need the service the most, by prioritising appointments for renal, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and discharges from hospital.

A call centre for taking patient bookings is now live. Patients are able to contact the call centre via the number below.

Patients: 01603 481 208

CCGS are reviewing all out patient appointments for Tuesday and Wednesday, in order to prioritise their need for patient transport.

We will provide regular updates as the situation changes.
