Free healthcare advice will be provided through social media by our team of Pharmacists between 1:30pm to 2:30pm on 29th November 2017 organised by Luton Clinical Commissioning Group and Bedfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG’s).
Pharmacies are a great source of advice when you are unwell, to highlight how Pharmacists can help, the CCG’s team of highly qualified Pharmacists will provide expert advice on a range of health issues live via Twitter.
Fiona Garnet, Assistant Director and Head of Medicines Optimisation at Bedfordshire CCG, said:
“It’s great to be involved in such a creative initiative. The live session on social media is a fun way of making healthcare advice accessible and interactive for the public.
“Pharmacists do much more than dispense prescriptions and they should be the first person to contact for health concerns. Not only do they offer support on looking after yourself, they can also advise on how to treat common health issues such as colds, sore throats and earaches.”
Many pharmacies are open seven days a week and late into the evening, including Christmas and New Year Bank holidays. Visitors can benefit from a range of services including flu jabs, help to stop smoking, blood pressure, cholesterol and Body Mass Index checks.
Join us during the live session by following our Twitter accounts @NHS_LCCG and @BCCG5. To have your health questions answered email them in advance to firstname.lastname@example.org. The team will also be answering questions that are sent in live via Twitter during the session.
