We are a group of 26 GP practices covering the towns of Bedford and  Kempston and the rural villages of north Bedfordshire.

Over the next few years, the population in our area is predicted to grow by around four percent.  Our older population is set to increase significantly by 2016.

More than a quarter of the people living in our area are from ethnic minority communities.

There is a significant and growing gap in life expectancy between the most affluent and most deprived areas is our locality. We are working with our partners to bridge this gap and reduce health inequalities.

We are passionate about making a difference to the health of the people in our area.

About us

Population: 176,100

Our plans and priorities for the future

All of our GP practices work together with our partners to ensure the best possible healthcare for our local population. Our locality delivery plan sets out our priorities, plans and objectives for the next year.

Our local strategy and objectives contribute to the overall aims of the clinical commissioning group as set out in the Bedfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group Strategic Commissioning Plan and in the Bedfordshire Plan for Patients

A key part of our work is to make sure we involve local people and patients in all our decisions about healthcare and designing health services that affect them.
