Welcome to the Leighton Buzzard Locality web page.
Leighton Buzzard Locality is the smallest within Bedfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group and serves a registered population of a approximately 44,000 patients . We are made up of three GP practices, based in Leighton Buzzard, who look after the health of the town and its surrounding areas. Due to our geographical location patients can choose to access care from a variety of different places, including the Luton and Dunstable Hospital NHS Trust, Milton Keynes General Hospital NHS Trust, Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust as well as our various community providers such as SEPT Community and Mental health Services and Central Bedfordshire Council. The variety of different patient pathways means our locality needs to work hard to ensure we can achieve Better care, better value and better health for our population.
Our ethos is to continuously improve patient care provided by our four GP practices and improve health outcomes for our population. We achieve this by working together with patients, carers and representatives, close liaison with healthcare providers and engagement with the local authority to ensure the health needs of Leighton Buzzard are met in the most efficient and effective way.
