Understanding the health needs of our population

Using Joint Strategic Needs Assessments (JSNAs) to understand our population's needs

JSNAs are documents that assess the current and future health and social care needs of the local community. They inform local decisions about health and social care services.

In Bedfordshire, Bedford Borough and Central Bedfordshire councils work with Bedfordshire Clinical Comissioning Group to create a Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) and a Health and Wellbeing Strategy for their local area.
