Patient and Public Engagement Committee

The Patient and Public Engagement Committee (PPEC) is a formal subcommittee of the Governing Body.  The committee ensures that patients and the public have been involved in decisions that are made about local NHS service and assures the Governing Body that we are involving local communities in our decisions.

The PPEC is chaired by the Lay Person for Patient and Public Engagement, membership includes representative(s) from:

  • Healthwatch Bedford Borough
  • Healthwatch Central Bedfordshire
  • Bedfordshire Community Voluntary Service
  • Bedfordshire Council of Faiths
  • Bedford Borough Council Young People’s service
  • Central Bedfordshire Council Young People’s service
  • Patient representatives from Bedford Borough and Central Bedfordshire
  • Bedford Locality (BCCG) for Primary Care Development
  • Central Bedfordshire Locality (BCCG) for Primary Care Development
  • Bedfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group’s Communications and Engagement Team
