A campaign to understand what is important to local communities about the future of health and care services across Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes (BLMK) was run with local health and care organisation’s capturing the views of local people at events across the region.
The campaign, which included a short survey, ran until mid-September 2019 under the title #BLMKfutureNHS and provided BLMK residents and communities with an opportunity to share their views about existing services and what is important to them for the future.
#BLMKfutureNHS supported the development of a five-year plan for health and wellbeing for our area, is partly in response to the NHS Long-term Plan which was published in January 2019.
Further information about the work is available at https://www.blmkpartnership.co.uk/about/goodideas/.
An engagement report will be published 2020 which details the engagement and findings from across the BLMK area. This will also take into consideration all the engagement work undertaken by the four local Healthwatch organisations.
In the interim, we have produced a report highlighting the engagement activities undertaken with partners across Bedfordshire, which will form part of the main report
