Working with partners from The De Parys Group (TDPG) and Linden Road Surgery (LRS), we listened to patients and local residents’ views on a proposal to build a new surgery on the boundary between Bromham and Biddenham.
|You told us:||Our response:|
You liked the idea of having the new build in Biddenham, but also liked having a branch surgery within walking distance from your home.
That you were concerned about access – that it was difficult to cross Bromham Bridge as a pedestrian or cyclist, that public transport would need to be improved, and bus routes and timetable schedules reviewed to enable people to travel to and from appointments.
You’d like the new facility to provide blood tests, minor illness clinics, minor surgery and nurse led clinics for immunisations.
Together with The De Parys Group and Linden Road Surgery we are working with the developers and Bedford Borough Council to address concerns raised by respondents regarding location, transport links and availability of public transport.
If the decision is made to relocate the two branch surgeries, the feedback will be used to inform the development of the new build and services provided.
